Symphony X to join Gigantour - Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 23:27
Symphony X just announced today that they will be taking a break from recording their new album and joining Dream Theater and Megadeth on this summer's Gigantour. Michael Romeo has been quoted as saying:

"Originally, our plans for the summer were to finish writing, and get into the studio to finish the new cd. After we rethought everything, we came to the conclusion that Gigatour was too cool of a thing to pass up.

We want to give a big thanks to Dave Mustaine for giving us the opportunity, and a big thumbs up to Mike Portnoy for putting in a good word for us. Thanks guys; see you on the road!"

Official dates so far are:

Jul. 22: Las Vegas, NV - Thomas and Mack Arena
Aug. 3: Corpus Christi, TX - Concrete Street Amp
Aug. 12: Chicago, IL - Tweeter Center
Aug. 23: Wantagh, NY - Jones Beach Amphitheater
Aug. 24: Holmdel, NJ - PNC Bank Arts Center
Sept. 2: Montreal, QU -Bell Centre
Sept. 3: Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre

More dates will be added later (including hopefully a Los Angeles date, since now that Symphony X are in I'm definitely going to have to be there!). For more information check their Official site or the Dream Theater Official site.
